It's been a while! Happy fall, everyone. I'm back dipping my toes into blogging and let's start with an updated favorite web development podcast list for 2026. Here we go:
- Syntax.fm: This is still a solid choice, covering a variety of web development topics. I will say that it leans heavily into AI-related development these days, which makes sense, given the way the industry is moving. They've also ramped up on their YouTube presence, if you prefer consuming in video form.
- Shop Talk Show: This is a perennial favorite for me, given that this was one of the very first web development podcasts that I ever listened to when I was early in my career transition from site reliability engineering to web development. I love that they still encourage write-in questions.
- Front-End Fire: This is another one of my newer finds. There is a lot of coverage of AI as expected these days.
- Code & Pixels: This one has more of a design engineering and design systems focus and lots of guests.
- General Musings with Kevin Powell: This has more of a CSS focus given it's the bread and butter of Kevin Powell, and I love that, as a CSS fan. I like that it also covers what's top-of-mind for Kevin in this rapidly changing web dev landscape.
